Wow. Just found a classic example of misusing “proof links”. A writer on Medium making certain statements, and linking to “prove” them, but the pages he links to don’t back it up at all.

@michellemanafy @baekdal I’ve seen a few pop their heads up in local Facebook groups (inevitably), but they’re usually been roundly mocked, rather than anyone taking them seriously.
@michellemanafy @baekdal For all that the UK has screwed up its Covid response, our really low levels of vaccine hesitancy are one thing I’m pleased about it. So far, I haven’t come across anyone in my extended friends and family circle that hasn’t been jabbed, or is eagerly awaiting it. 💉👍🏻

This is a good thread which illustrates the difference between TikTok (where you build an audience) and Instagram (where you build a community). Different platforms lie at different points on the audience/community scale.

@some_yeo @inkcapjournal @Ghost Ah, commiserations. They helped me move 15 years+ of archives a few years back, and while it went pretty well, I’m still cleaning up some of the older posts years on (but then, they had been through three different platforms, in some cases.)
