@corinne_podger @hotelwest24 @iroughol I particularly worry about people at these irreversible transition points: end of health, end of fertility, beginning of careers, beginning of school and so on. They’re the ones that the ‘missing’ year might prove to be life-altering.

@corinne_podger @hotelwest24 @iroughol It’s challenging how differently it hits everyone. I’ve spent more time with my wife and children than I could imagine having at this point in my life, and that’s been great - but my “career” has taken a brutal hit as a result, as has, to a lesser degree, my wife’s.
