@amidgley @charlesarthur Funnily enough, I was thinking exactly that. My home office is unheated, and I miss the warmth from under my hands.
@ShirishMM I was going to spec it up, but then read the reviews, and decided to go with the slightly better base model. Certainly I’ve been able to throw around RAW files in the 8Gb with no issues at all.

@ShirishMM In the end, I went for the MacBook Pro. The vaccine news has given me hope that I might be out and about by next summer, and, right now, we have a pretty solid iMac. We need something one of us can work on when the other is in the study, but which can be put away quickly.
So… this is my first post from a Mac powered by Apple Silicon.

@sweena Points of connection and shared experience are important - particularly once the children come along. It’s easy to feel like housemates rather than a couple, if you’re both exhausted at the end of the day.
