@MatthewWells @newsmary Thanks, Matt.

(I am more angry about this than these tweets convey.)

@sloxham Mine has shrugged it off. That’s a molecular biologist for you. But it spiked my heart rate massively. Best wishes to you all.

What’s worse is that it leads to stories with no more details. So, we have an upsetting piece of information, with no context, and nothing actionable. Why?

Folks. Please. Think about the impact how you report the news is having in people. You have not done anything helpful here.

I’m sure it’s true. But what value does pushing that out as a notification bring? What can people do but stress?

OK - is this really a good idea as a push notification? You just pushed the anxiety level of every single parent In the country way up. t.co/cxEmmsJP1…

@amonck If only. That curve is well and truly flattened.

It’s the Osprey one listed on here, FYI: onemanandhisblog.com/newsletters/

@CarolineHarrap Ospreys, believe it or not. There’s a large community of osprey supporters and nest watchers - and some of the most passionate are in the demographic that have to stay home for 12 weeks in self-isolation. It’s my little bit of support for that community.

@MattNavarra There are so many of us in variations of that boat, mate. No need to apologise.

Dominic Cummings in isolation as pressure mounts over NHS testing - I suspect that means that pretty much everyone leading our response has the novel coronavirus. thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/c…

The first egg was laid last night on a Rutland nest, and the community are connecting in various online spaces. Hit me up if you want contacts.

Feature-writing journalist friends, there’s a positive feature to be had about the older people in self-isolation taking comfort from watching the livestreamed osprey nests. The timing was perfect - they were advised to go into isolation just as the birds returned from migration.

Well, the quasi-lockdown in the UK is really good at showing up who are the selfish people in your neighbourhood - and who has the scary authoritarian tendencies.

@fraserspeirs This was an example of the social distancing vigilantes at work. Said that the provision for exercise had been withdrawn from the government website. I pointed out it hadn’t. Hooooo boy.

So, today I corrected one small piece of misinformation about the government’s position, and got accused of all sorts of things as a result, before being blocked.

How’s your day going?
