Pleased with this one. The print is long gone - it was in display in a photo cube and was bleached out years ago. The negative was loose in my parents’ junk draw for decades, and was badly scratched up.
One scan, an hour’s work on retouching, and this is the result: t.co/Ao1GUq9X8…
@Arnaldtor You rumbled us.
@corinne_podger This annoys the hell out of me. When you literally make your living through selling your expertise, people are just asking for a freebie without admitting it. I try to set the limits very clearly, and tell people when they’re moving into paid territory.
Why you should be very sceptical that many of the pieces about #COVIDー19 doing the rounds actually show what they say they show: “What happens to Data Science in a Crisis, why that’s a problem, and what to do.” by @sgt101 link.medium.com/fSVOoWsLP4
So. After supper Iris gets down, grumbling a bit. And then sits in the corner assiduously writing.
This is what she hands to me.
“I have just eetn (eaten) the yoyos and I am still hungree”.

This piece, on a Bristol paper naming and shaming commenters, was originally for site members only. But I’ve freed it up, as @benwhitelaw linked it in his newsletter, and, hell, why not?

I’ve updated this with additional recommendations from @paulbradshaw and others. Other recommendations always welcome:
@paulbradshaw Updated with those added - thank you.
@paulbradshaw Thanks, Paul.
@lauragrb @firstdraftnews Yup! It was literally the first link I put on the page - @firstdraftnews is right at the top. Thank you.
@waitrose Thanks - happily I was able to get in and tweak my order later than evening.
@monicaellena Literally the first thing I added to my page!
Continuing to add useful #coronavirus resources for #journalism here, as I find them: onemanandhisblog.com/coronavirus-jo…
Suggestions warmly welcomed.

Starting to compile some useful resources for non-specialist journalists getting to grips with reporting on coronavirus/COVID-19: onemanandhisblog.com/coronavirus-jo…
Any suggestions?
New for @omandhb members: a contrarian take on the praise heaped on the Bristol Post for naming and shaming commenters - and a guide to what it should have been doing. onemanandhisblog.com/2020/03/naming…
I’d only meet them in endgame zones, though, because if they want my wisdom, they damn well have to level for it. t.co/abstIIPuX3
@waitrose Are there problems with your website? It’s rejecting my username and password, even after a password reset.
If I’m quiet on here, it’s because I’m busy unfollowing the amateur epidemiologists and those who retweet them. Amplify signal not noise.
