Luckily I have enough experience with wikis to know how to proceed. But imagine that as a welcome to a brand new contributor. Are they ever coming back? No.

People wonder why @Wikimedia has problem attracting new contributors. I freely donate one of my images to the commons for the first, and within an hour someone marks it for speedy deletion without any attempt to discuss. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Gotta say, my old school friend the artist is pretty fancy these days… nicholwheatley.com t.co/GgzUSr5TH…

@JosephStash I suspect it’s about this post — onemanandhisblog.com/2019/06/guilt-… — in which I actually mention the tool they say I won’t write about on my blog…

Well, at least I don’t have to use a Samsung Galaxy. 🤷🏼‍♂️ t.co/yIwuVKq7Z…

Nice to have company for my daughters’ martial arts class. t.co/ufmwZ9RJq…

@emkuntze Thank you!

I’ve spent a good chunk of the past 24 hours buried in some important new @risj_oxford research into audience engagement from @julieposetti and team. Here’s my key takeaways — onemanandhisblog.com/2019/10/engage… — but it’s well worth downloading and reading for yourself.

Anyone else suspect that, historically, the whole Brexit period will be viewed as a profound and systemic failure of the UK’s big journalism institutions, exacerbated by hyper-partisan digital players? theatlantic.com/international/…

@JosephStash Think how much each of them could have got if the founder’s payoff was split between them.

@mathewi Fiercely independent? Maybe - but they repeatedly stole my photos without credit or apology. Hypocrisy was threaded through that operation.

@emilybell @threadreaderapp Please unroll. Ta.

Having problems taking serious a self-penned tribute to their own journalistic virtue by someone whose failed publication repeatedly and unapologetically stole my images.

@simonperry @Ghost I get the impression that this was on their radar long before the WordPress initiative.

@Zahra_ZW @VICEUK Excellent work. And yes, the illustrations are excellent. I do love outlets prepared to invest in illustrations.

Yesterday, @ghost launched a new version, that provides an open source platform for creating membership/subscription sites. This has so much potential for #journalism: onemanandhisblog.com/2019/10/ghost-…

@robcrilly @Ghost I’ll need it! But thanks.

Ghost 3.0 has just launched - and it’s got built in tools for building a membership site for news.

This makes subscription businesses way more accessible to set up and run. onemanandhisblog.com/2019/10/ghost-…

Today’s @ghost news opens the way for me to do something I’ve wanted to do for a long time: onemanandhisblog.com/2019/10/one-ma…

An out of the box solution for running membership subscriber #journalism and news sites? Yes, please.

Great news from the @Ghost team: onemanandhisblog.com/2019/10/ghost-…
