@benwhitelaw This is a “don’t get me started” subject on a number of levels. But yes, you are right, and so are the normal people. And so many within a subset of this business are utterly unaware.

A whole bunch of my followers are now officially celebrities. I, blessedly, am not. gizmodo.com/we-regret-to-i…

@travelsofadam At least you have a first class first name. 👍🏻

@micycle I was up in Scotland last weekend for a school reunion, and was surprised by how many people were talking in terms of “when” independence happens, not “if”.

This will probably get me into trouble, but I’m quite excited by Jony Ive leaving Apple. He’d clearly run out of things to say about computer design, and is interested in exploring new fields.

That opens up space for a new vision to come forward for Apple.

Interesting take from @gruber. It does feel like this is the end of a slow motion easing out from Apple by Ive. daringfireball.net/2019/06/jony_i…

@p_j_chappell Everyone will hate it for two months, and then quickly forget it ever looked any other way.

@p_j_chappell It may well be just cyclical. UIs of OSes tend to get more complex as they accumulate features, and then periodically they have a huge overhaul, which clarifies it all again. iOS7 was the last major overhaul - in 2013. We’re due one soon.
