@Black_Kettle @Ghost @movabletype @WordPress Steyning. Damn you autocorrect!

AirDrop is such a handy feature of Apple devices. It doesn’t get enough kudos.

@Black_Kettle Ah, I’m using @Ghost and it’s mostly great. But to get there I went from @movabletype through @WordPress and some things got messed up along the way. I find tidying up old blog posts strangely stress-relieving.

Steaming must have been a lovely place to work…

@Black_Kettle No - I’ve been updating all my old posts about Google+ that got messed up by various platform transitions over the years. Unfortunately, the app that tweets notifications of new posts sees the first update of an old post as a “new” post. Been manually removing the tweets.

It looks like I last wrote about Google+ nearly five years ago — and only to declare it not dead.

Never a good sign. onemanandhisblog.com/2014/06/google…

So, here’s a video from a defunct satire site, about a defunct social network, found via a defunct VC-backed news site, which concludes with the fact that social networks lead inevitably to nazis.

This must be the most 2019 thing ever. onemanandhisblog.com/2011/08/google…

Wow. Early 2010s-era One Man & His Blog. In many ways, the “classic” era of the site… t.co/bYF3XeHeM…

Wow - Google+ integration in search. I had completely forgotten about that. onemanandhisblog.com/2012/01/the_in…

@PastryPlate I am quietly fascinated by the idea of journalism doing less, but better rather than more but worse… This suggests there may be some psychological grounds for that.

Interesting (if true). I need to dig deeper into this - does spending a while photographing something change this dynamic, rather than just snapping it? “Modern Photography Is Changing How We Remember Our Lives” - Stephane Lavoie link.medium.com/WI415bYpxV t.co/SXe21IlE2…

On the ERG:

”Nobody deserves the ERG, though, which is to politics what food poisoning is to dinner parties.”

And about bloomin’ time. It’s shameful that it took the Facepocalypse for the industry to take this seriously. twitter.com/DeanRoper/stat…

Ironic, really. Cameron called the referendum to neutralise the threat of UKIP and the extremists in their own ranks - and now his party has been taken over by them. twitter.com/faisalislam/st…
