@freecloud I wish I’d said that.

Really enjoyed editing and prepping for publication a guest post for the Next Conference blog. However, it did remind me yet again how often we ignored warnings in the past about the way we implemented digital technology. nextconf.eu/blog/
Funnily enough, @JosephKnoop, Merida isn’t speaking Gaelic in the trailer. She’s speaking English with a really broad Scots accent. But you briefly made me nostalgic for the incomprehensible Gaelic children’s shows of my youth…
Someone who self-describes as “brutally honest” is probably either a delusional bully or just plain rude.

@JoannaG Tiredness. Body uses sugar to keep itself in a decent imitation of an awake state. Yes, it gets me. There are some obvious solutions to that, but hard to implement in a job like yours.
@cornwallchar @JoannaG Yeah, turns out the sugar industry pretty much threw fats under a bus, unfairly, to distract from their own many sins.
@JoannaG I have a solution, but it’s a bit extreme.
- Have children
- Suddenly realise you want to be alive to support them more than you want refined sugar.
Alternative: spend the time reading the research. It’s very scary, but makes you feel much better about butter.
