@iroughol @azeem Generally, I’m a big fan of competition. I originally backed Ghost back in the Kickstarter days, because I desperately wanted WordPress to have competition. And I like it as a @ghost user that @SubstackInc is pushing forward fast enough that people switch back and forth…
I see the person whose (now failed) website repeatedly ripped off my content without paying even basic attention to the licensing terms is lecturing us all on how to do tech journalism. again. 🙄
@iroughol @azeem Interesting. I wondered why I hadn’t seen that update, as I’m an Exponential View subscriber - but then I realised that because it’s now back on Substack, it’s going into the app, which I only check a few times a week.
I’m not yet convinced that the app is good for writers.
@some_yeo @inkcapjournal I’ve often compared a good newsletter to a good magazine, in terms of balance of content and pacing. But that’s probably because my own background is in magazines, not newspapers…

Nice profile by @pressgazette of @some_yeo’s @inkcapjournal, an independent newsletter, with an impressive open rate, and developing business model. Worth a read, good people. It’s shortlisted for the newsletter award in the Future of Media awards.
@coffeekate2 One a little further away from us does that. It also has electric car chargers, so one of my neighbours who lives in a flat, works, has lunch and recharges his car there once a week or so.
