Adam Tinworth

Much as I love my profession, watching journalists spin the next fortnight of “we don’t know yet” about the likely impact of the #OmicronVariant into endless, thinly-sourced stories is not going to be an experience that makes me proud of it.

@mathewi Ability to cope with snow increases the further north you are in the UK. Down here on the south coast the entire commuter infrastructure collapses with an inch of snow. Where I grew up in Scotland, snow ploughs, gritters and child labour kept the streets and pavements open.

@FergusOLoan @EGPropertyNews Ah, but think of the sheer euphoria you will experience when one makes it through…

@FergusOLoan You call them drop intros, I call them drop intros, the former production editor of @EGPropertyNews called them “still not getting to the fucking point then, Tinworth.”

@richardkendall Where I live, we get snow about once every five years, so 🤷🏼

If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that the more British politicians say that “holiday x will be fine”, the more likely it is to end up with us in lockdown instead.

How’s you omicro… sorry, morning going?

A lot of a individual creator newsletters are basically a week’s worth of old-style blogging (lots of links with context, a bit of analysis, a hot take or two, with some personal life stuff mixed in), stuck in an email and sent.

Not a good or a bad thing, just an observation.
