Hmm. About 30% of people on this train are wearing masks. Fewer than I was expecting.
@ziadramley I’ve had it for a couple of days. We must use our incredible powers only for good.
Confession: it took me a couple of minutes to recognise one of them, because Zoom did a terrible job of communicating how tall she is…
Something strange and disturbing (in a good way) has just happened. I just met two of the 20/21 cohort of #interhacktives in person.
This is the first time that has happened, after a year of teaching them via screens.
@livburney_ Get someone to take notes for you in the SCMM lecture… 😇
@charlesarthur @glynmottershead Yeah, what does @glynmottershead think he is? A lecturer in data journalism of something?

The Oxford Climate Journalism Network is being led by two heavy-hitters: @MeeraSelva1 and @wblau. I really hope they get the calibre of members they need globally to have a substantial impact on the way we communicate this pivotal inflection point in human history.
Incredibly important news from @risj_oxford, this afternoon: they’re launching a Network of journalists to rethink the way we report on the #climatecrisis — and that might involve rethinking how we report on everything:

@chrismsutcliffe Just to rub it in… she has an empty office TO HERSELF at her university. And I have a hot desk at a room I can’t remember the access code for at City.
Today, I had managed the sort of productivity that if I managed every day, my life would be a lot happier and calmer.
I actually think I can spot two reasons why that happened, so… 🤞🏻
@MarcSettle And it’s usually me.
@chrismsutcliffe Trying to decide if that’s better or worse than the fact that my wife’s new home office is what used to be my home office, and I’m now in the living room.

@rachelclarke Generally, location > size. It’s usually better to have a smaller property in a better location, unless you are pretty sure the “worse” location you’re buying in is on the way up.
I got this wrong once, and spent some years regretting it.
