@JosephStash Followed. With only a slight concern that you might be pranking us.

@benwhitelaw Ghost(pro) support are really good, so worth going to them first. I have a feeling that you can’t have member support without portal — I think there was some people complaining on the forums about it — but I’m not sure.

@benwhitelaw Self-hosted or ghost(pro)?

@MarcSettle I will do exactly that, ghost touches allowing.

Institutional knowledge loss in newsrooms over the last 20 years of newsroom change has been borderline criminal. She is so utterly right that this needs to happen. twitter.com/hwise29/status…

This is smart, and something other businesses should absolutely do if they want to tempt people back into the office a little more. twitter.com/ziadramley/sta…

@glynmottershead @MBradbrook I’m half way through it, and have been for some years, as I’m aware it’ll be the last and don’t want to reach the end.

@MarcSettle No, surprisingly. The phone has helped me out by developing days-long phases where it’s rendered all but unusable by “ghost touches” on the top 20% of the screen.

Although it hasn’t done that in a month, now, but I’m not sure that needs highlighting.

@MarcSettle I came to a pre-arrangement with my better half about six weeks ago, when it became evident that my X was on its last legs.

@neilperkin I’m heading to London for the first time since March 2020 next month — and I’m surprisingly nervous. This is the longest time I’ve gone without visiting London since around 1987…

@glynmottershead @BethAshton @aliyadotcom @SarahMarshall @journalism @psmith @cityjournalism I’m not 100% sure standing up and enthusing about the work you’re doing with your colleagues for an hour is much prep for structured teaching to learning objectives. 😉

@callummarius TBH, actually getting to 19mph in London often feels ambitious…

@CarolineHarrap @iroughol It’s telling that, after 20-odd years of regular publishing online, I have only had a handful of bad digital experiences like the ones you are alluding to. Depressing, but telling.

@BethAshton @aliyadotcom I’d done ad-hoc training in my previous editorial development job, but yes, 2012 was my first year training professionally. Initially, @SarahMarshall got me doing courses for @journalism, and then @psmith made the introduction to @cityjournalism.

@Simmons__ @cityjournalism It cuts both ways — people like @smurraymorris have said how useful data skills have been in their audience roles.

I’m very proud of the work we’ve done on this subject — but even more proud of the work our incredibly talented graduates are doing out there across journalism and related fields, from people from my first year teaching, like @BethAshton, to this year’s grads, like @aliyadotcom.

Maybe some journalism schools don’t, but @cityjournalism most certainly does, on the MA Interactive Journalism course. And many #interhacktives have gone on to senior audience engagement roles:

@SophieWarnes It’ll work for at least the next 15, too.

Finally, an announcement from Williamson that unites parents, teachers and children in happiness and relief.

@greenwellys I’m embarrassed to admit that I have no idea how one explores synergies.

Do you need a map? A guide maybe?

@niamh_mcintyre @danhancox That is… quite something. t.co/7UYcSTzGN…

@semiapies Sounds implausible.

@adamjury Yeah. I used to be on a 2 year cycle, but I really didn’t feel much need to upgrade until the last month or so.

I have a feeling that the iPhone 13 Pro in my near future is gonna feel like a huuuuge upgrade over my venerable iPhone X. #AppleEvent
