Just the fact that the industry as a whole doesn’t think about it much (as I see every time I tidy up blog posts from 12 to 15 years ago). And so the specific (and long-established) term isn’t common currency in our field.
@corinne_podger @richardkendall The idea that permalinks should be, well perma(nent) is not well embedded in news publishing globally. (With some very honourable exceptions).
@corinne_podger @richardkendall I find it interesting that someone so deep in digital journalism hasn’t encountered that term. It’s been in common use in web circles for decades, but the fact that it’s not common in journalism circles is… telling.
