@JosephStash Sadly, it’s almost certainly going to happen.

@robcrilly I’ve had to quarantine that thought from the rest of my brain.

I’m glad to see that there’s been some serious work done monitoring and tracking antivaxx networks, though. We’re going to need that.

@JosephStash Here’s the piece: nextconf.eu/2020/05/real-e…

@JosephStash I actually wrote about this, pulling from my old real estate journalism background. I have a suspicion we’ll see a fairly major realignment of the housing market as those with secure incomes during the recession move to bigger properties in a depressed market.

There are probably a lot of future PhD theses in exploring why masks have become such a polarising issue in the US, compared to pretty much any other country.

I had the privilege of editing this report. ⁦@g_piechota’s research on news subscription growth during the pandemic for ⁦⁦@INMAorg⁩ is a fascinating and useful piece of work. ⁩ inma.org/blogs/main/pos…

@baekdal @elanazak In fact, I would argue that the search for the magic wand has been part of the problem for a decade. Diversified revenue is generally more sustainable - but then, a crisis that hits two major revenue streams (events/ads) was always going to be brutal.

Well, sadly that seems to confirm that the subs boost was nowhere near enough to counter the loss of advertising and events revenue at @TheAtlantic .

This crisis has exceptionally hard on journalism because it hits two of the major income sources to most publishers. twitter.com/semaforben/sta…

@rapella Not even optimism, really. Things don’t get uninvented. They just change their levels of relative importance.

@rapella Yes. Remember “email is dead”? And now newsletters are the new hotness.

The Cambridge University decision seems sensible - push the low-hanging fruit online, work on how you handle the rest. Better to plan for strict social distancing with the ability to ease it, if the situation allows, than to just hope it will be … microblog.onemanandhisblog.com/2020/05/20/the…

What will the pandemic do to real estate and the way we live in cities? Here’s a little bit of (informed) speculation: difficult times ahead - but something better could emerge. nextconf.eu/2020/05/real-e…

@othello It was at the very beginning of the brewing process.
