Evidence, I think, that my daughters are handling this lockdown more productively than me.

Forget the “good news" trend. @mathewi has taken that apart.

I’m pioneering the stupid distraction trend, with my latest newsletter. My friends, it’s slipper time:

@BeckyBarnesB Thank you. That story has somewhat redeemed a difficult day.

Note to self. You can fix typos in a blog post. You can’t fix typos in a newsletter once you’ve sent it…

Fascinating piece by Jeff on the role of journalism when the science around #covid19 is being discussed openly, and rapidly, by experts: The Open Information Ecosystem by @jeffjarvis link.medium.com/0QAUudfNR5

@sabuhi_gard @journalismnews Hey - would you mind DMing your email? This has been playing on my mind, and while we can’t realistically drop the prices of the courses, there might be some other approaches that might work at a much lower cost. I’d be interested in your feedback.

@msuxg Ha! With apologies, that’s just because we haven’t had time to update the course description fully to reflect the new reality. That will be done in the next day or so.

I’ll be adding digital journalism reference and training materials, on core engagement skills like SEO, social media and analytics, running exclusive online seminars for members, and doing at least three “news you can use” emails per week, just for members. (2/3)

Thanks for all the kinds comments last night.

One of the ways I’m going to try to sustain myself through this difficult period, alongside running courses online with @training_media, is through adding members-content to @omandhb. (1/3)

@corinne_podger Happily, some other work has landed. But it’s one-off and the loss of the ongoing work stings.

@ninalovelace Thank you.

Rough day - two bad pieces of news about two different projects means things are looking financially pretty precarious for me.

Just about enough regular work to get by for now, but it looks increasingly like I’ll need the self-employment support scheme when it launches.

@TheMichaelMoran These are not mutually exclusive options.

Agenda: Tuesday 21st April: microblog.onemanandhisblog.com/2020/04/21/age…

My weekend project was taking a moribund blog, exporting it, migrating it to a new platform and getting it up to speed.

It worked.

Now, let’s see if I can make that time worthwhile with some content…
